What Is A Domain Name?

A Domain Name personalises your website address from a set of numbers, or ISP Provider's address with your name attached to a unique name, which is licenced to you. It also personalises your email address.
Examples:
- web address: www.optusnet.com.au/yourname now becomes www.yourname.com.au.
- email address:yourname@optusnet.com.au now becomes yourname@yourname.com.au
